Deacon Martha joined Christ Church following her ordination to the diaconate in
November 2022. A native of Kansas, she has lived in the Le Droit Park
Neighborhood of DC for 15 years. Martha is bi-vocational and spends her days as
an attorney for the District government.
Martha is a lifelong Episcopalian and has served in many aspects of parish life. In addition to her assignment at Christ Church, she also serves on the Deacons’ Council, the Diocesan Disciplinary Board and the Resolution Committee for the annual Diocesan Convention.
When not working or participating in parish activities, Martha enjoys gardening, kayaking, and hiking. She is deeply thankful to be working as part of the clergy team at Christ Church.
