ReOpening Resources & Information

ReOpening Resources & Information

UPDATE – As of Wednesday, November 25, Christ Church + Washington Parish will offer only virtual services.

Due to the new restrictions imposed by Mayor Bowser regarding limiting outdoor gatherings, we have decided to suspend all outdoor worship services and events. For more information about our schedule, please visit our Worship Schedule page.

When we return to in-person gatherings, you must have a signed Covenant for Regathering in Worship letter on file with the church office or bring it with you to the service. As required by the Episcopal Diocese of Washington, all adult parishioners must sign and return the Covenant for Regathering for Worship letter to the Christ Church Office PRIOR to in-person events at the CC+WP facilities (worship services, small group formation, etc). Return via email to the Church Office or mail to Christ Church + Washington Parish, 620 G St SE, Washington, DC 20003. You can read the letter sent to the congregation here.

Christ Church developed and submitted a plan to move into Phase Two of reopening our facilities in July 2020 and this plan was approved by Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde. A copy of the approved plan is available here. In order to implement that plan, the entire staff and lay leadership of the congregation have devoted a large percentage of our time toward implementing the plan for in-person worship and gatherings. We will continue to offer live broadcast worship on Sundays as well as worship via Zoom during the week for those people who are not comfortable attending in-person services.
