As of Sunday, March 7, Christ Church + Washington Parish will offer Outdoor, In-person Worship at 9am and Continue 11am virtual services.
Weather permitting, outdoor services resume on Sundays at 9am. Registration is required as well as a signed Covenant for Regathering in Worship letter. The service will include communion (bread only) and Children’s Chapel with Rev. Mary Miller Flowers. All COVID-19 safety protocol must be followed during the service and while on church grounds (wear masks; remain 6ft distance; no sharing the peace; etc.) Please bring a chair/blanket and dress for the weather. Enter through the front entrance (G St) and please check in with an usher. The parking lot will be available, but we request that you walk through the alley. The building will be open for handicap access and restroom use. If the service is canceled due to cold or bad weather, an email and Facebook post will be sent at 8am on Sunday morning.
Registration for Sunday services opens on the Monday prior and is limited due to COVID safety protocol.
All adults attending services must have a signed Covenant for Regathering in Worship letter on file with the church office or bring it with you to the service, as required by the Episcopal Diocese of Washington. Return via email to the Church Office or mail to Christ Church + Washington Parish, 620 G St SE, Washington, DC 20003. The ushers will be checking to confirm that every attendee has a signed covenant on file.
If you have any problems registering or accessing the church database, please email the Church Office.
Christ Church developed and submitted a plan to move into Phase Two of reopening our facilities in July 2020 and this plan was approved by Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde. A copy of the approved plan is available here. In order to implement that plan, the entire staff and lay leadership of the congregation have devoted a large percentage of our time toward implementing the plan for in-person worship and gatherings. We will continue to offer live broadcast worship on Sundays at 11am on our Watch Online page and Facebook as well as worship via Zoom during the week for those people who are not comfortable attending in-person services. To get the Zoom links for Wednesday Morning Service at 7:30am and/or Thursday Evening Compline at 8:30pm, please email the church office.
