The Lord is Risen! But you wouldn’t have known it from the first discoveries by the Disciples. To them it was all horror, doubt, and darkness. But that’s the point! Easter came in the darkness. And, it was in the darkness that Jesus found his way to them. John’s Gospel account of the Resurrection is really Mary Magdalen’s resurrection story. For what happens to her, is what happens to us when we turn in our darkness and are found by Jesus.
